Since joining the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 2018, our goal has been to build a research and Extension program that helps corn and soybean farmers, crop consultants, Extension educators, industry professionals, and students make better weed management decisions.
Over the past eight years, that vision has grown into WiscWeeds, a program centered on applied research, practical Extension, and strong partnerships with Wisconsin agriculture. Together, we have evaluated new herbicides and crop technologies, advanced integrated weed management, expanded the use of cover crops for weed suppression, explored precision herbicide application technologies, trained future agricultural leaders, and shared research-based recommendations through field days, workshops, newsletters, videos, social media, and one-on-one interactions.
None of this would have been possible without your engagement, trust, and willingness to collaborate. Whether you’ve attended a field day, supported one of our research trials, read a WiscWeeds article, subscribed to our email updates, asked a question, or simply followed our work, thank you. Your support has shaped this program from day one.
As WiscWeeds continues to grow, I want to ensure our research and Extension efforts remain relevant, practical, and responsive to the needs of agriculture in Wisconsin and beyond. To help accomplish that, we have developed a short stakeholder survey.
The survey will help us:
  • Better understand the impact of the WiscWeeds program
  • Estimate the value our recommendations provide to agriculture
  • Identify priorities for future research and educational programming
  • Continue improving how we serve farmers and agricultural professionals
The survey takes approximately 10 minutes, responses are confidential, and results will be summarized only in aggregate.
Although WiscWeeds is rooted in Wisconsin agriculture, I know many of you who follow this page are from other states and countries. Your perspective is also valuable. If you’ve benefited from the program or interacted with our research and Extension efforts, we would greatly appreciate your feedback.
Thank you again for your continued support, collaboration, and trust. It is truly a privilege to work alongside so many dedicated farmers, crop consultants, Extension educators, industry professionals, researchers, and students. We look forward to continuing to learn from you as we work together to address the next generation of weed management challenges.
